California Car Accident & Injury Attorney

Representation for people injured in collisions throughout California

Injured in a car, truck, motorcycle, rideshare, pedestrian, or other accident? ES LAW GROUP handles insurance claims and injury cases throughout California, using former insurance-defense insight to prepare strong, well-documented claims.

After an accident, injured people may face medical bills, lost income, vehicle damage, treatment decisions, and pressure from insurance companies. ES LAW GROUP handles the insurance and legal process so clients can focus on their recovery. Drawing on former insurance-defense experience, the firm investigates liability, identifies available coverage, documents damages, negotiates with carriers, and prepares cases for litigation when necessary.

What the firm does on an injury claim

  • Investigates how the collision happened and who is responsible.
  • Identifies every policy that may respond, including your own coverage.
  • Documents medical treatment, lost income and other losses.
  • Handles communications with the insurers so you do not have to.
  • Negotiates the claim, and prepares it for litigation where that is warranted.

Why former insurance-defense experience matters

Attorney Emma Samyan previously worked on the insurance-defense side. That background informs how a claim is built: what an adjuster looks for, which gaps in documentation invite a lower evaluation, and where a file needs strengthening before it is presented. It is preparation, not a promise about outcome.

Talk to the firm early

Some evidence is only available for a short period after a collision. Camera footage is overwritten, vehicles are repaired or sold, and witnesses move. Deadlines also vary depending on who is involved, and can be shorter where a public entity is a party.

What to do in the first days after a crash

The minutes and days after a collision can affect both your health and any claim that follows. Move to a safe location, call 911 when anyone is hurt, exchange driver and insurance information, and photograph the vehicles, roadway, and conditions before the scene changes. Identify witnesses before they leave, and look for nearby cameras — footage is often overwritten within days. Seek medical attention promptly, even when symptoms seem minor; stress and adrenaline can temporarily mask pain.

A California SR-1 report must generally be submitted to the DMV within 10 days when anyone is injured or killed, or when property damage exceeds $1,000 — separate from the police report and the insurance claim. Step-by-step guidance is available in the firm’s resources, including what to do after a car accident, a hit-and-run, or a motorcycle accident in California.

Insurance calls and early offers

The other driver’s insurer may contact you quickly for a recorded statement, a medical authorization, or a fast settlement. You are generally not required to give the other driver’s insurer a recorded statement, and a fast offer may arrive before the full nature of an injury is known. Do not sign a broad release or accept a final settlement until you understand what rights you are giving up.

When the other driver has too little insurance

When the at-fault driver carries only California’s minimum limits — or cannot be identified after a hit-and-run — your own uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage may become the most important part of the claim. These first-party claims have their own procedures and deadlines, and statements made early in the process matter.

Matters are generally handled on a contingency-fee basis. Attorney fees are not owed unless a recovery is obtained; clients may remain responsible for costs as stated in the written fee agreement.
